How we confirm a change

Map listings lag behind real life. Google Maps still showed The Heyday as open after it closed on Oct. 25, 2026. So we log a closing once it's reported in the news or confirmed by the business, and an opening once the doors are open. "Coming soon" entries stay until they open or the plans fall through.

Looking for somewhere to eat today? The Johns Island restaurants guide lists every place that's open now.
